Frank Marinello
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Frank's career covers more than 30 years across commercial real estate acquisitions, development, and repositioning. Prior to co-founding Scopello, he served as VP of Acquisitions and Development at Basin Street Properties, a leading investment and development firm. He led the acquisition, development, and redevelopment of over five million square feet of multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, and light industrial projects. Frank also runs a successful single-family residential venture specializing in new construction and buy-renovate-sell projects.
Frank holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Chico State and a California Real Estate Broker License.
Scott Mencaccy
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Scott's real estate career spans more than 30 years. He currently serves as President of BLVD Residential, a full service, owner-focused, property and asset management company managing over 12,000 apartment units. Prior to joining BLVD in 2011, Scott served as President for Pinnacle Realty Management Company where he directed operations and growth for the West Region, which included California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, and New Mexico. Scott has worked for several of the largest owners and operators of real estate in the country.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Pepperdine University and holds a General B Contractors license.
Why Scopello?
The name draws inspiration from the historic coastal village in Sicily, a destination that has stood the test of time through adversity, reinvention, and evolution. Scopello embodies the resilience and long-view thinking we bring to real estate investment (it also happens to be a mashup of our founders' names).
